Historic F3 1000CC

Between 1964 and 1970, Formula 3 cars ran with 1000cc engines that revved close to 10,000 rpm hence their nickname, the “screamers.” These high-pitched racers served as a stepping stone for future F1 legends like Stewart, Lauda, Fittipaldi, and Hunt.

The One-Litre F3 Historic Racing Association brings the iconic Formula 3 cars with 1000cc engines from 1964 to 1970 back into the spotlight. These extremely light and agile race cars, renowned for their high revs and thunderous sound, compete in two classes: one for cars up to and including 1966, and another for later models up to 1970. During the Historic Grand Prix at Zandvoort, two races of 25 minutes each are held, featuring thrilling slipstream battles and razor-thin margins that guarantee plenty of excitement. The Historic Grand Prix counts towards both the British Championship and the Historic F3 1000cc European Trophy, as well as the Nations Cup.
