Historic Grand Prix Parade
The Boys are Back in Town, the well-known song by Irish hard rock band Thin Lizzy, has been the slogan of the Historic Grand Prix for many years. On Saturday evening, the phrase becomes quite literal, as the boys (and girls) put words into action: a parade of historic (racing) cars drives from the circuit to the center of Zandvoort.

Saturday evening, June 21
After Saturday’s race program, an impressive parade of over 100 historic (racing) cars will depart from the circuit around 8:00 PM, heading towards the center of Zandvoort. Participants will begin assembling at the circuit from 7:30 PM onwards.

The parade continues via Van Speijkstraat, passes the train station, and then turns right onto Zeestraat. From there, the cars drive along Burgemeester Engelbertsstraat and head toward Hogeweg. At that point, the convoy makes a left turn onto Oranjestraat.
The absolute highlight is the roundabout near the town hall – the beating heart of the parade. Here, a speaker provides commentary on the cars and interviews the drivers, bringing the parade to life for the spectators.
The parade will complete a total of three laps through the town center before the cars are parked along the route. Visitors will then have the opportunity to take a closer look at the vehicles, chat with the drivers, and maybe even sit in one of the classic cars.
Will you be at the circuit on Saturday? Be sure to stick around after the race program and experience this unique procession up close – between 8:00 PM and 9:30 PM in the center of Zandvoort. And don’t forget your earplugs – some engines love to roar!
