With eight races, four qualifying sessions and three demonstrations, the second day of the Historic Grand Prix Zandvoort had an action-packed schedule. Bright sunshine and a varied programme with touring cars, single-seaters, sports cars, GTs and sidecars again made it a great day for the numerous spectators.
One of the day’s highlights was the first of two races for the FIA Historic Formula 3 European Cup, the competition for Formula 3 cars built between 1971 and 1985 that has its inaugural edition during this year’s Historic Grand Prix Zandvoort. With some 30 cars, a new chapter was added to the rich history of Formula 3 racing at Circuit Zandvoort.
This evening, there will be the traditional parade with dozens of race cars from the circuit to the centre of Zandvoort, with plenty of race action scheduled for tomorrow from 8.20 am till 5.45 pm.
