A long time ago, it was common for Formula 1 to drive on public roads, from their temporary pit boxes in Zandvoort to the circuit and back. This tradition has been restored with the drivers’ parade through the centre of Zandvoort. Historic formula cars, touring cars and GTs will pass thousands of enthusiastic spectators on Saturday evening. Local motorsport stars like Gijs van Lennep, Arie Luyendijk and Jan Lammers have taken part in previous editions and enjoyed the atmosphere. The exceptional Grand Prix ambiance revives in the Zandvoort area.
On Saturday a parade for participants of the Historic Grand Prix will take place. The cozy and attractive center of Zandvoort is around 7:30 PM the place to be. Saturday is not only during the day marked by the Historic Grand Prix. More than an hour after finishing the last race of the day, a selection of participants leaves the racetrack and drives to the center of the village for the drivers parade.
At the central ‘Raadhuisplein’ a music stage provides extra atmosphere. After driving through the village, the cars are parked around the ‘Haltestraat’, where the historic cars can be admired up close.
