The organisation of the Historic Grand Prix Zandvoort 2015 proudly presents its event timetable and a handy new website that keeps all fans of historic race cars up to date with the latest news, schedule, ticket information and background stories. Spectators will be treated with nineteen races and four demonstrations during the final weekend of August 2015. Tickets are available at www.historicgrandprix.nl.
The most spectacular and extraordinary championships with historic race cars are on track during three days at Circuit Park Zandvoort. Not less than six races with Formula 1 and Grand Prix vehicles are listed on the timetable. The FIA Masters Historic Formula One Championship will race at the Dutch track twice. Decades of Le Mans history will revive too with the FIA Masters Historic Sports Car Championship and the Group C category. The FIA Lurani Trophy (Formula Junior) and the Historic Formula 2 are former feeder series to Formula 1. In addition, various popular historic touring car and GT categories are part of the programme, such as the Gentlemen Drivers, the Pre ’66 Touring Cars, the Dutch National Championship for Historic Touring Cars and GTs (NK HTGT) and the Dutch National Championship for GTs and Touring Cars (NK GTTC).
The Historic Grand Prix Zandvoort has reserved a larger timeslot for demonstrations. Multiple special guests with exceptional race cars will hit the track during one and a half hours on both Saturday and Sunday. This part of the programme is currently being finalised and will be announced in due course. You can count on demonstrations as spectacular as last year’s performances of Arie Luyendijk, David Brabham and Roberto Moreno!
A true fan of historic racing cars will start early on all three days. On Friday and Sunday, track action starts at 9 AM and the lights of the first race on Saturday will go out at 8 AM! The programme at the circuit ends on Saturday just after 6 PM, but the festivities continue shortly after that with a unique drivers’ parade through the centre of Zandvoort.
Presale day tickets are available for just 20 euro and a three-day weekend ticket is available for 40 euro. You will enjoy access to the paddock as well to see the historic racing cars from up close and to meet the passionate drivers. Tickets for children from five to twelve years old will enjoy a 50% discount and children under the age of five may enter for free under guidance of an adult.
The official www.historicgrandprix.nl website has been renewed recently. In addition to a fresh new look, it offers detailed information about the parade and all the racing series as well as the latest news and background stories. Fans can also treat themselves or others with tickets and VIP packages for the exclusive Paddock Club. You will also find photos, videos, results and answers to all your questions.
